Clarity Fornell is a contemporary weaver, handmaking home goods and fine art in her hometown of Aspen, Colorado. She dreams of using her passion and skills to creatively utilize and recycle textile waste from her community. Contributing to a more circular economy, Clarity hopes to extend the life of products as long as possible, rather than send it overseas for someone else to deal with.
Having studied Fiber Arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia and Lacoste, France in 2010, Clarity has the training and experience with the end goal of becoming an example for the possibilites of textile waste. She sets her intention on each item to have a meaningful history, which in return create a connection to the item and keep it out of the landfill for a bit longer.
Her works have been featured in publications such as Aspen Peak Magazine, Remodelista, Aspen Times Newspaper and Architectural Digest.
